Quick trip to Texas! post-angiogram

We arrive at Magnolia Market and it's love at first sight, just as I imagined. I'm fully aware that it's a tourist haven, but I don't care. I feel happy and that's all that matters. They have so many food trucks to choose from! We get some street tacos, because we all love them. Violet and I then wander and shop. She is just as happy as I am and we have the best time. Ben is around, kind of following us, but also keeping tabs on March Madness ;)

She's just precious!

After a few hours we get back in the car and head for Austin. Driving in Texas traffic is less than desirable and I can feel Ben's stress. But we eventually get there and it's incredible. The weather is absolutely perfect and the rooftop pool area is breathtaking because of the view. We wander down Rainey Street to grab food and a drink. Thankfully it's still earlier in the evening as it's not a very appropriate area for Violet. As soon as we're back at the hotel Violet has her swimsuit on. Ben takes her up to swim and hang out while I rest in the room for awhile. I did go up to catch the sunset and it was just what I needed.

Hotel bathroom mirror selfie, because why not

I've never seen elevator buttons on a touch screen like this before

View from our room!

Feels good to take the bandages off!

Happy as a clam

I don't sleep much that night. I laid awake until after 1am I believe. And my abdomen absolutely hates me. I've come to learn through all of this that the contrast dye always leaves me more icky on top of the usual. But I get myself going as we have plans to go to the University Co-op to purchase some Longhorns gear. We then make our way through part of campus and come across some sort of admissions event. We saw the dance team perform on stage and the president gave a speech. So that was pretty neat. I am very ready to go back to the hotel after this as I don't feel well and am exhausted. I fail at napping, but at least rested a bit.

Taking an Uber to avoid driving downtown

Thought this art piece was really neat

Such a fun coffee shop!

Ben and Violet enjoying some time by the pool

Early afternoon we meet some family friends at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. I felt like garbage, but tried my best to be present and enjoy it. On our way back to the hotel we stopped on South Congress for a bit. We check out one of the stores that has some really fun stuff to look at. The rest of the evening I rest, read, and pack. Ben goes out for a bit to take photos and get some BBQ. And Violet binge watches a show on Netflix.

She's a whole vibe

More tacos!

All those little black dots in the sky are bats! They come out from under the bridge during sunset.

I finally get some decent sleep that night and wake up feeling a little better. This is good because Violet and I have to get to the airport and fly home. The Austin airport is bomb. I've traveled enough to know that Minneapolis truly has a nice airport and a lot of others don't compare. But Austin gets a shoutout. We have an uneventful flight back to MN. Annie picks us up and drives us to Mankato. There was a nice snowstorm happening in Minnesota that Sunday. Thankfully the roads were okay and Annie got back home before the wind picked up more. My mom has the boy in Morgan with her. Violet goes to the neighbors shortly after we're home. I quickly find my bed and sleep HARD. Being in my home with quiet is literally the best and I soaked it all in while I could.

Another great hotel lobby

We love travel Violet

After Ben dropped us off he made his way to Hot Springs National Park to
camp for the night, then continue the drive home Monday.
